fyneilgaiman: bhanesidhe: Delirium : Of Endless for … … ‘me’ as it turns out. My good friend Simon surprised me with tickets to hear Neil Gaiman speak at The London Jewish Cultural Centre. The short notice meant I didn’t have The Graveyard Book on me to get signed, just some sketches. When Neil Gaiman dedicates something to you, its just yours. You may as well be buried with it after that. It’s Death, dickhead. ;D Ah, the lazy evil that is cut+paste caused this Death sketch to be labeled wrongly. Thank you fyneilgaiman for alerting me of my “Dick-headishness”… and while of course I know this is Delirium | like I know this is Dream, having drawn each from memory | I also know seemingly apparent details can be overlooked due to an all-too-quick repost, like accurate custom urls or tags for example. Who knew Dick-Headishness was so contagious! Fun Times.

The Sisters Cody - Here are the Twins again. They went through a couple of revisions because they are so alike in temperament and body-language but entirely foreign in every way that counts. The “46. Family” sketch posted early has a bit more realism but none of their humor. My favorite version is the one to the Right simply because Allé is looking entirely too smug. Plus, I think she’s giving her other self the ‘Stank-Eye’ o_0; Which is entirely like her…

How To - Write “Fearless” Rune. People keep asking, so I’m sharing cuz it’s easier to show than to explain. Its a bit shakey from having been drawn up on a cocktail napkin. Proof there is “method in the madness”. I started with a basic Glyph Alphabet. (I have it in both in JPG & TrueType, but can’t remember where I got it from). From that I just spelled out the words “Fear” & “Not”. But using that sort of Alphabet you don’t exactly spell things out, so much as you just hodge-podge them together phonetically. So aside from a bit of stylizing, since I wrote it out in calligraphy, this is how ‘Feareless’ was made. Seems almost too simple doesn’t it? Except inventing each rune took a whole day! Not to mention not having the best hand-writing to begin with. ^^;

Rufus Cane (42. Standing Still) : Rufus familiar is Crup, she is a Jack Russel Terrier with forked tongue and tail. They’re shape-shifters in a complicated sort of way. Rufus is modeled a bit after Denis Leary, well at least in liking The Stones, Jameson, having cool hair and cooler sunglasses.

Jet + Zuko : Last years inaugural Providence Anime Conference was a harrowing experience for every artist/dealer involved. The only thing that made it durable was the company we kept. *AliWildgoose was a my hero for the better part of the weekend. I promised her this by way of both thanks and payment for my half of the table. U (sorry it was so long coming)
